NORFOLK - A pike at last!

A tricky weeks fishing in Norfolk. Having caught my PB pike from this spot I was hopeful of a good fish but wasn't to be. Caught some good perch and roach but as there were no signs of pike I got in the row boat. Took it out to one of the broads and finally caught a pike of about 3lbs. Will definitely be back - next time with an outboard motor.

*PB Eel*

Started the day with a carp of about 10lbs and caught roach float fishing throughout the day. The highlight was catching a decent eel and my new PB of about 4lbs (Never easy to get a good picture of an eel). Fred had a great day catching a whopping 101 fish! - including one rudd and a huge roach (both pictured). 

That's Fishing...

Had a very short session on Saturday to the section of river we've been fishing. Very few bites. Just the one stickleback for me...another huge one, but no luck for Henry this time. Sunday we both had lots of Roach - I managed a carp of about 6lbs - Henry had a carp right at the end but lost it...A bit gutted for him but that's fishing.

Done a very quick session on the river and I managed to catch a small hard fighting eel. Henry had a superb stickleback..definitely the biggest we've caught from this spot...Im convinced this spot could hold a British record..we'll be back.

Bonus Carp

Did another short session on Saturday. Was mostly float-fishing. Caught loads of roach and one perch. Switched to carp fishing towards the very end and quickly landed this common of about 10lbs.

Short Session Sunday

Had a few hours today on the lake Ive been fishing for a little while now. Caught 2 Commons (Camera wasn't ready for the first one..slightly bigger than the one pictured below). Looking forward to trying a new lake nearby in hope of catching a catfish.

5 for Thursday

Started the proper season at the Thames at Windsor and Eton riverside on Tuesday, but no fish caught. Was spinning for pike and perch. The river looked good so may try there again.

Caught 5 carp today - One mirror and 4 commons. Just as I was packing up the fifth one took, and got a photo with the nippers. May try a new venue tomorrow!

One Super Sunday

Just caught the one common carp today (Lost a smaller one too). Tried to catch a few off the top with floating bread. Came very close a few times but too many ducks around this time. Getting prepared for June 16th and going to get back on the river...cant wait!

In between the rain...

Caught 3 good carp, lost one, and caught a tiny one. Also caught plenty of roach and a rudd. All in all a great day despite the rain. (May try again tomorrow).

First fish of 2015!!

Had the first session of the year today. A slow start but picked up towards the end. Henry caught some good roach throughout the day - I managed to pick up 2 carp (lost one). One I caught off the top on floating bread..right in amongst the snags. Probably the best way to catch them.

Looking forward to June 16th and seeing what the 2015/16 season brings.
